This is my first love in Mathematics. A beautiful subject that is still fairly new and unpursued. It is just now finding applications and gaining popularity. Anyone studied algebraic topology: homotopy, homology, cohomology?

You are the only person I have ever come across that mentioned that book. Have you lread it? I have four topology texts, including this one, that I used in graduate school. In class, you never get all the way through a book, you are usually lucky to get halfway through. So, lately, I have been trying to finish these texts. Allen Hatcher is a great writer, and topology is by far my favorite subject.
